The Roman cisterns of Todi date back to the 1st century BC and are a perfect example of the genius of the ancient Romans in projecting and creating monuments and architectural structues  that have resisted for more than 2000 years! Located under the main square the cisterns have provided clear and drinking water to the people of Todi for centuries.

The Torre dei Priori is an imposing tower which stands on the left side of the facade of the omonimous palace in Piazza del Popolo. The tower has a unique trapezoidal shape and has been recently reopend (June 2024) after a 100 years long oblivion! Maybe useless to say… but the view from up there is just breathtaking!

The Municipal Theatre of Todi is a traditional Italian style theatre completed in 1874 and officially opened in 1876 by performing the opera “Un ballo in maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi. The building was financed by the city and the inhabitants of Todi who did want a brand new cutural place to restart with after the long difficult period known as “Risorgimento” and the many bloody events that led to the unification of Italy in 1861. Our theatre is the forth largest in Umbria (500 seats) and it will charme you with an elegance of times gone by, made of red velvet and beautiful frescoes.
