Do you know that Todi is the only place on the planet where you can read the ancient irish languageof Ogham (VII century)?

Where? In Via delle Mura Antiche 25, in the so called Painted House. The Painted House is a unique artwork, a living artwork which is always in progress. The owners of the house are Mrs. Barbara Novak (art historian) and her husband, the famous painter Patrick Ireland (alias Bryan O'Doherty).

They arrived in Todi about 30 years ago...they fell in love with Todi and decided to bought a little flat in the historical centre of the town. From New York to Todi...wow! Then Patrick started with the decoration of the three floors: the wall paintings and installations cover every space of the interior, with blazing and muted colors.

OPEN DAY: October 11th at 16:30, Sala del Consiglio-Municipal Building on Piazza del Popolo.

Barbara and Patrick hope that visitors to the Casa Dipinta can enjoy tha house as a work of art with Elisa and Luca, which are allowed to take visitors inside.

The House is open by appointment: contact us!
