Looking up above the monument to Jacopone at the very top of the imposing staircase, you can see the impressive church dedicated to the Patron Saint of Todi : the Bishop Saint Fortunato. The wonderful central portal dates from the mid-15th century and is rich in decorations and symbols, attributed to the school of Jacopo della Quercia. Inside you will be enveloped by light and surprised by the soaring heights of the three naves ( a style quite rare in Umbria and called "Hallenkirche"). You may visit our dear Jacopone who has rested in the crypt since the end of 1500.
